Building pathways and connections that prepare the next generation to care for the land.

The Community Research & Innovation Conference (CRIC) has two goals:

1) To connect Northern communities with the scientists, researchers, and professionals doing environmental work across the North;

​

2) To support youth empowerment in the environmental sector.

​

The first goal is about access. Community members deserve to hear directly from the people doing environmental science on their land, in plain language, through real conversation, not buried in reports or technical papers.

​

The second goal is about investing in youth. CRIC enables youth in the North to connect with professionals already working in the environmental sector, discover pathways to environmental education and careers, and the skills, confidence, and leadership needed to pursue them.
